Chris Cahill has been a public fixture in the St.Louis music scene since his first professional appearance in high school as a solo act and has been a member of many bands since. His current band, Grand Beauty, has headlined at such prestigious venues as Hard Rock Café, Old Rock House, and Cicero’s. Chris appeals to any crowd with his diverse repertoire, making the perfect complement to many types of occasions including birthdays, weddings, corporate holiday parties, and much more.
Born with natural musical talent, Chris is a self-taught singer and songwriter, displaying great instrumental ability playing an Ovation Celebrity acoustic guitar, piano and harmonica. Chris’s acoustic set includes cover songs from many genres of music including Rock, Country, Pop, Motown, Folk and R&B with a unique perspective all his own. Often referred to as “The Human Jukebox”, he covers a wide array of artists such as The Beatles, Talking Heads, Johnny Cash, James Taylor, The Who, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Otis Redding, and even Britney Spears. Chris also has an impressive set of clever original songs with catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
Originally from New York, Chris moved to St. Louis in 1989, where he expanded on his innate musical abilities. Chris earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Corporate Video with a Minor in Music. Realizing the corporate life was leaving him unfulfilled, he opted to follow his dream and play his music professionally. Chris is now able to support his family doing what he loves: playing music and entertaining.
